Customize DoctorAccess
User settings change the way your DoctorAccess web application displays its pages and elements. This provides multiple ways to customize DoctorAccess to suit your preferences.
You can configure the Messenger or Scheduler module to display when you log in to DoctorAccess.
Note: By default, DoctorAccess displays the Messenger module.
Configure Scheduler to display upon login
- Determine if you logging in from the full site or mobile site:
- If using the full site, click the
icon next to your user name, and select Settings. - If using the mobile site, click the
icon and select Settings.
- Click After login, show, and then from the list on the right, select Scheduler.
Your change auto-saves.
There are two customizable settings within the Scheduler module.
You can:
- Choose which day your clinic appointments begin on.
- Select the appointment background colors that display in your schedule.
Set the day your clinic appointments begin on
You can set either Sunday or Monday as the start of your week.
Note: By default, Sunday is the start day.
To set the start of the week:
- Determine if you logging in from the full site or mobile site:
- If using the full site, click the
icon next to your user name, and select Settings. - If using the mobile site, click the
icon and select Settings.
- Select Weeks begin on, and from the list on the right, select a day.

Configure appointment background colors
You can choose to display appointment background colors for appointment statuses, disciplines, or Ortho stages in your appointment schedule.
Note: The default is set to show no colors.

To configure appointment background colors:
- Determine if you logging in from the full site or mobile site:
- If using the full site, click the
icon next to your user name, and select Settings. - If using the mobile site, click the
icon and select Settings. - Click Appt background color, and from the list on the right, select an option.

There are two customizable settings within the Messenger module.
You can:
- Select how often the system checks for new messages.
- Select the number of messages shown per screen.
Configure how often the system checks for new messages
You can configure how often the system checks for new messages.
Note: The default is set to check for new messages every five minutes.
To configure how often the system checks for new messages:
- Determine if you logging in from the full site or mobile site:
- If using the full site, click the
icon next to your user name, and select Settings. - If using the mobile site, click the
icon and select Settings.
- Click Refresh message counter every, and from the list on the right, select 2 minutes.

Configure the number of messages shown per screen
You can configure the number of messages you view on your screen.
Note: The default displays ten messages at the same time.
To configure the number of messages shown per screen:
- Determine if you logging in from the full site or mobile site:
- If using the full site, click the
icon next to your user name, and select Settings. - If using the mobile site, click the
icon and select Settings.
- Click Number of messages per page, and from the list on the right, select the desired number of pages.
