DoctorAccess is a web-based application available for use on platforms such as the desktop, tablet, and smartphone. It integrates with the axiUm database as well as with FacultyAccess and PatientAccess.
DoctorAccess allows you to:
- Check your appointments for the day or week
- Send and receive secure messages on various mobile devices
- Check your patient details
- Check your clinic time exceptions.
DoctorAccess is designed to work on any modern smartphone or tablet with a screen resolution of 320 x 480 or better, and has been tested with both IOS and Android devices in a variety of resolutions.
DoctorAccess is a web application accessed from your browser, and therefore, cannot be downloaded on the desktop or mobile.
On IOS devices, we recommend using the latest version of Safari. On Android devices, we recommend using Chrome.
DoctorAccess is a web-based program, and therefore, cannot be downloaded on the desktop or mobile.
To launch DoctorAccess, you need to contact your dental institution for details of the IP address. You will use your axiUm user name and password or PIN to log in.
You may have bookmarked DoctorAccess with residual information in the URL. For more information, see Access DoctorAccess.
Both versions of the site offer the same functionality. The mobile site is tailored to work best on smartphones, while the desktop version is tailored to work best on tablets or PC browsers. You can switch to the full site from the mobile site from the Log-in page. There are some differences in the Scheduler module in the way information is presented - see About the Site UI.
DoctorAccess is intended to be deployed using a secure website (HTTPS) so that all communication to and from the server is encrypted. No patient information is stored on your device, and the site is designed to be secure against common web vulnerabilities.
Make sure you log out after you have finished in DoctorAccess to prevent any security issue arising and do not share your password with anyone. Don't save your password or user name in your mobile device. If you feel that your account may have been compromised, reset your password in axiUm and notify your institution immediately.
